Testing Chamber
The crafting of premium instrument starts with testing the raw material chosen from various steels such as AISI 420,AISI 440 or AISI 304,AISI 316. To retain the high standard of craftsmanship set by Nexton in the market, it is crucial that we thoroughly test the selected steel and send it for forging only after the steel complies with all our quality standards.
Forging and Hardening Facility
Our extremely skilled workforce cut the steel in most trivial shapes in accordance to the instrument, afterwards standard press operations are performed which help in better formation of steel. Afterwards it goes to milling where the instrument get one step closer to its end structure. At this point the instrument is ready to attain hardness; we use vacuum for this purpose.
Assembly Area
The recently harden instruments are brought to the assembly area where riveting or welding of instrument is performed.
Burnishing Room
In this room we grind and polish the instrument to groom its finish. In case where serrations and joints require special luster we use electro polishing. This finished product is yet to be sterilized and hence is placed in quarantine.
Passivation Point:
Depending upon the nature of material used medical instruments needs to be passivated so that it is corrosion resistant. As a quality metric we go an extra mile for our customer by cleaning every instrument using the ultrasonic cleaning machine. After this a second iteration of buff is performed in an effort to give the instrument, a superior look.
Inspection and Marking Point:
Nexton has developed a Two-Tier Quality Assurances System, the first tier is compliance with the ISO, FDA and CE standards while the second tier is compliance with Nexton’s own quality merits. Only after passing this channel an instrument is send for marking.
